The Fatal Flaw of Polls

Now more than ever polls are conducted with questions phrased in a way to get a specific answer...this is called "push polling" and it is no more accurate than the evening news has become...

Example..a couple of years ago I got a call from a polling organization and after the opening pleasantries..the first question was this....

"Would you support lowering property taxes even if it would mean less funding for public schools?"

Now the real question was those first six words...anything after that was meant to make you answer no...

Polls are generally commisioned by someone or some organization..and they are not going to pay to find out they are on the wrong side of an issue...keep that in mind when you read or answer polls....

By the way...I answered yes, the guy asking the questions said..and I quote, "let me ask this again to make sure you understand"...tell me the guy wasn't "pushing" to get me to say no!
